Cleve Adams sure could spin a good crime yarn. But I always found him putting too many characters in his stories, especially in The Private Eye. Maybe it was because he cut his teeth in the serial pulp mags. The Private Eye read like one of those.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 100th guys! I really enjoy your podcast and your blog and reviews!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 100 episodes! It's been a great ride and still is.
ReplyDeleteTo add to your discussion of insurance agents as detectives, one of the best Old Time Radio shows was Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar about an insurance investigator. Check out the weekly serialized episodes with Bob Bailey, really some excellent crime fiction in radio play form. Lots of fun to listen to while doing your chores, travelling etc.
